What is a Book Machine?
How are materials sourced?
What is the timeline?
A one-of-a-kind kinetic sculpture disguised as a library-grade book. Hand-milled from reclaimed industrial hardwoods, it houses an internal audio engine and stealth magnetic triggers that activate sound and light upon opening.
How are materials sourced?
We construct each volume from select, premium, trim-grade American hardwoods, specifically chosen for their dense weight and exceptional dimensional stability. Every piece of timber undergoes rigorous industrial kiln-drying to ensure it is permanently cured, sterilized, and chemically stable before it enters our workshop. This museum-grade standard guarantees the structural shell behaves flawlessly under precision cutting tools and protects your internal electronic works for generations to come, all while retaining a heavy, deeply tactile physical presence.
Because each piece is engineered individually, commissions require two to four weeks from initial drafting to final calibration. We limit production to insure the highest heirloom quality.
